Sleep
I’m in my third trimester, and I’m having such a hard time sleeping. How did you cope?
Our Mommy MD Guide’s reply: Especially as my pregnancy went along, I got very cranky and tired. I would come home from work, sit down, and pass out on the couch. I recommend taking cat naps if you can during the day because it can be hard to get good sleep at night. You can take Tylenol PM or Benadryl, but then you might feel groggy when you wake up. (Talk with your doctor or midwife before taking this or any medication.)
After my kids were born, I heard about a product called Naturally Calm. It’s a powder that contains calcium and magnesium. You dissolve it into a teeny bit of water, warm it, and it fizzes up. It comes in several flavors, including raspberry-lemon, and it’s like drinking raspberry lemonade. It’s very calming, and it helps with constipation to boot. You can buy it for around $20 online.
