An Interview with Dr. Lippman

What’s your favorite parenting tip? Mothers need to take care of themselves. That means getting good sleep, eating good food, and having helpful support.

What has surprised you most about parenting? Parenting is the best teacher to show us that we are not always in control of our lives. Something new always comes up to with children to challenge us.

How do you get your kids to eat healthy food? We were very strict about what we ate at home. Also, I gave my children supplements from an early age. A good combination remedy is called IntraKid by Drucker Labs. It’s a liquid, raspberry flavor, and most of the children I’ve given it to like it. They also make IntraMax, which is great for parents. You can buy it online.

How do you work exercise into your family’s life? It’s not hard to get kids to exercise if you get them outside and play with them. Even when I was growing up in Minnesota, we played outside in all sorts of weather. We made snow angels, ice skated, and played in the snow. It might have taken ½ hour to get out there, but we got plenty of exercise.

How do you recharge your batteries? I try to get plenty of sleep and eat a good diet. I have had lots of consultations over the years with alternative doctors and excellent psychologists.
