How many children do you have? Levi is an only child – he’ll be a year old soon.

How did you come up with the idea for your blog?  Life With Levi started like many mom blogs – as an online journal. I had been through a miscarriage with a previous pregnancy and soon realized I could find support from other women online who had similar experiences. After Levi was born, my blog and writing evolved to connect with and support other parents that share my natural parenting philosophy, including breastfeeding, using cloth diapers, baby-led weaning, babywearing, and more.

What’s your favorite parenting tip?  Trust your instincts. I think new moms in particular start to doubt themselves. Remind yourself: – I created this person. We’ve made it this far. We can keep going. I do know what’s best.

How do you get your family to eat healthy food and/or exercise?  We have three dogs, so going out for walks as a family is an easy way to spend quality time together while everyone gets exercise. Now that Levi is eating solids, my husband and I use his nutritional needs to improve our own eating habits.

How do you recharge your batteries?  I meet up with friends. Good conversation and laughter refresh me and improve my outlook.
