Charlotte Siems

Charlotte is a mom of 12 who lost more than 100 pounds with the T-Tapp workout system, going from a size 22W to a size 6. She is a fitness trainer and the owner of two websites: CharlotteSiems.com and ThisLovelyPlace.com, where she specializes in making home management and exercise doable for real people and real life.

How many children do you have?  I have 12, yes 12, children, ages 5 to 29—and three adorable grandchildren!

How did you come up with the idea for your company?  As a busy homeschooling mom with six children at home, I knew I didn’t have time to do a lot of in-person private coaching in the traditional fitness trainer model. My story has inspired thousands of people all over the world, so I created an e-book with the details of what I did, along with virtual coaching programs that anyone can access at their convenience. 

What’s your favorite parenting tip?  Your children will be adults most of their lives, so cherish their childhood!  The relationship you have with them as children will carry over into their adulthood, so be sure you take time to know them as persons and express your love for them.

How do you get your family to eat healthy food and/or exercise? Modeling by doing it myself!  We talk about food ingredients and my children are label readers, and I stay active with my family. 

How do you recharge your batteries?  Regular lunch dates with my husband are my favorite recharge times! Shopping, browsing in bookstores and getting a pedicure also restore me when life gets frazzled.
